The first two — Digital and Service — have existed since 2019. Sustainability followed in 2022. The Digital package officially covers three areas: digital marketing, management system and electronic invoicing. Here’s how these translate concretely for a construction, structural work, finishing trades or renovation company.
Digital marketing — creating or improving your website, social media campaigns
For a construction company, this covers redesigning or building a professional website showcasing your projects, certifications and service areas, plus social media campaigns to show ongoing and completed sites.
Management system — cash register, sector-specific software, ERP
The most relevant area for most construction businesses: site management software, team and job scheduling, quote and invoice tracking, materials inventory management, or a construction-specific ERP.
Electronic invoicing — an ERP system with an e-invoicing module
This area funds setting up electronic invoicing — increasingly relevant as Luxembourg progressively rolls out mandatory e-invoicing in B2B and public administration relations.

Construction: a naturally eligible sector
The vast majority of construction and renovation companies — masonry, structural work, carpentry, roofing, plumbing, heating/sanitary, electrical, joinery, painting, flooring, insulation — are craft businesses under the Chamber of Skilled Trades, and as such fully eligible for SME Packages Digital and AI, subject to SME criteria and a valid business permit.

Combining Digital and AI in your construction business
Contrary to what one might think, a single business isn’t limited to one SME Package. The Ministry of the Economy explicitly states that businesses can apply for several packages once a package is completed. Concretely, a renovation company can:
Year 1 — SME Packages Digital
Fund a website redesign and site management software: up to €17,500 in aid.
Once that file is closed — SME Packages AI
Fund an AI assistant for customer relations or quote automation: up to €17,500 more.
Overall, a business structuring its approach across two successive projects can obtain up to €35,000 in combined grants for its digital transformation.
Stacking applies package by package and sequentially: a project must be closed (implementation completed, evaluation done) before a new application for another package can be filed.
